Experience the Future of Affordable Fitness: An In-Depth Review of the Amazfit Bip 3 Pro Smart Watch

Amazfit Bip 3 Pro is a budget-friendly smartwatch

The Amazfit Bip 3 Pro is a budget-friendly smartwatch that offers a surprising array of features at an affordable price. Combining a sleek design, fitness tracking capabilities, and extended battery life, this watch aims to deliver a satisfying smartwatch experience without breaking the bank.

Design and Build

The Amazfit Bip 3 Pro follows a very close template to the Apple Watch Series 4 onwards, with a 44mm casing that has a rounded square display that measures 1.69-inches. The watch comes in black, pink, and cream variants. It has a 20mm silicone strap that’s removable via a simple pin mechanism, making it easy to swap in a similar-sized strap in its place. The strap has a nice, soft touch finish to it and is comfortable for both day and night wear, as well as during exercise.

In terms of weight, the Amazfit Bip 3 Pro is a lightweight watch, weighing just 35g, including the strap. This makes it comfortable to wear even during prolonged periods of activity. The watch is also water-resistant, with a 5ATM rating, allowing you to swim with it in the pool and open water up to 50 meters depth.

However, the casing is plastic, and the side button’s click feels cheap. The simple construction does lead to super-low weight, but the screen stands out as a potential irritant. It does not have an ambient light sensor, meaning you need to manually alter the brightness level when you go out for a workout. You will need it maxed, too, as the Amazfit Bip 3 Pro can barely get bright enough for solid visibility on a sunny day.

Features

The Amazfit Bip 3 Pro offers a variety of health and fitness features. It can record heart rate 24/7, take blood oxygen readings on command, track your sleep and stress, and count daily steps. There are also some features that don’t rely on daily data. You can set up to-do lists in the Zepp app, and tick them off on the watch. There are simple guided breathing exercises and the Amazfit Bip 3 Pro can also track menstrual cycles.

One of the standout features of the Amazfit Bip 3 Pro is its diversity of watch faces. There are loads available through the Zepp phone app, and while some are paid downloads, there are also 74 free ones. This gives you much greater control over the personality of your watch.

Performance

While the Amazfit Bip 3 Pro did not flat-out miss any exertion spikes in a mixed intensity workout, its general readings were not too wide of the mark. After an hour-long session, its average reading was only 2bpm higher than that of a Garmin Forerunner 965. However, it did record inaccurate maximum heart rate readings during more easygoing mid-week workouts.

Conclusion

The Amazfit Bip 3 Pro is a budget-friendly smartwatch that offers a surprising array of features. It combines a sleek design, fitness tracking capabilities, and extended battery life, aiming to deliver a satisfying smartwatch experience without breaking the bank. Despite some minor compromises, such as heart rate monitoring accuracy, it delivers a solid smartwatch experience for those seeking affordability without sacrificing performance.
